Because every hair is different,

(Inspired by Marlene Haring's Because every hair is different)
In the museum,
turning the corner
there she is,
giving me an Olympia gaze
but she—-
was not created by Manet
No.
This creature
smirks
at the idea
of a man
manifesting her
She has always existed
with her glinting eyes
I meet her gaze
and let her speak to me
We hold communion
Woman to woman
Teach me then,
Fur covered woman
whose gold coat shines and sways
on your face
on your arms
on your torso
on your legs
How do you hold no apologies in your eyes?
How do you sit back
in
such sweet
such bold
defiance?
How do
you make
beauty
prostrate
at your feet?
